To Launch Officially or To Not Launch Officially

I read Seth Godin's latest post on whether or not to hold an official launch for a start up. The positives are getting immediate attention, however, Seth points out that it isn't always necessary.

I started a blog, a few of my other writers want to throw a launch party even though it's been up and running for a few months. As of now we are still unsure if launching will grab attention, or if it's just another reason to hang out and drink with friends.
